Transportation Lead -ANZ (New Healthcare Company)

Job Summary:

- Serve as primary transportation source for input of transportation and distribution related issues into product division’s long term strategic planning process. Provide extensive knowledge of ANZ import and export requirements and regulations, i.e., BMSB. Provide extensive knowledge of 3M products, carrier industry and customer distribution requirements for both regional and global transportation analysis as part of product division of global marketing plan - 30%
- Provides consultative advice to product division management in matters of technical expertise regarding KR transportation and distribution issues. Serves as transportation consultant to local plants, branches, and shipping/receiving locations. Acts as primary contact for external suppliers for product division transportation and distribution strategies - 20%
- Provides primary transportation consulting services to plants, branches, and shipping/receiving locations by designing and conducting feasibility studies, distribution analysis and research projects dealing with location business planning. Initiates highly complex distribution analysis with assigned product divisions and foreign subsidiaries. Promotes objectives of cost reduction, transportation inventory management, cycle time compression and improved customer satisfaction - 20%
- Design and implement improvements to transportation systems such as Supply Chain Management, Just in Time and Optimized operations program to foster division objectives - 15%
- Provides work direction and leadership to others in the same work unit by influencing cross functional boundaries to meet customer expectations. Provides direct supervision to others in the same work unit including career development, coaching, appraisals, and technical skills building. - 15%

Main Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage ANZ Transportation, managing end to end transportation operations execution excellence.
- Subject matter expert for local transportation operational role, in particular knowledge of healthcare products, supporting regional and global teams on local macro environment.
- Understanding on COGS, managing local transportation costs to ensure Operating plan is met against target.
- Validate and approve all freight related invoices for AP, with the support from 3rd party suppliers.
- Managing Supplier relationship management through key metrics, identify improvement opportunities, drive performance targets to fulfil customers’ needs.
- Close collaboration with sourcing and regional transportation team to drive cost improvements, not limited to RFQ, YOY Cost reduction exercises.
- Drive suppliers’ compliance in invoicing timeliness, accuracy, and manage vendor audit performance.
- Super user and assist Regional and Global team to build reporting via various Transportation Management System to enhance E2E reporting tool.
- Main transportation operational escalation focal for ANZ
- Collaboration with various function stakeholders, in Business Groups, Planning, Intercompany Order management team, Warehouse and Distribution for customer fulfilment
- Create and drive transportation continuous improvement and cost reduction.
- Manage and responsible on driving suppliers’ transportation damages, collaborate with Quality team, ensuring suppliers are meeting DPPM KPIs
- Lead monthly business review with key suppliers.

Pre-requisite (preferably):

- Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare/pharmaceutical transportation experience
- Experience in managing cross functional groups and working with regional teams.
- Ability to communicate with cross functional teams in English.
