Our client is an ASX 100, iconic market leader, and today they are seeking to appoint an inspirational and talented Regional Operations Manager to lead this operation. It is a business they acquired two+ years ago, a recognised market leader in their field which added to their premium brand status, a new business vertical being medical waste services. With a national turnover of circa $130m and 400+ employees, this regional role has full accountability for the operational performance of its region ($30m turnover and 200 fte) including its service delivery (top - bottom line), employee engagement and development and the customer experience as they support the Australian region. Leading a talented leadership team, this role is a combination of strategic and tactical executive leadership. It is a newly appointed role to accommodate the growth the organisation is experience so it is an exciting time to come on board

Your customer base will include Hospitals, Aged Care Facilities, Day Surgeries, Dentists, GP’s and large pathology organisations targeting sharps, prescribed biosecurity and regulated waste streams of biosecurity.

This (Regional Business Unit)Operations Manager of Medical Waste Services is accountable for strategically leading, directing and managing all operations within the regions Business Unit, and working with a dedicated leadership team and supporting functions to deliver on agreed business plans, profit targets and strategic objectives. The ROM is responsible for driving a strategic home safe culture and social license to operate.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Demonstrated strategic and tactical multisite operational leadership experience, servicing a targeted customer base - coming from production, manufacturing, transport and logistics or waste management and potentially having served any of the following: Aged Care, Medical, Pharma organisation or a small manufacturing (medical devices) business is ideal
- Proven regional operational management experience managing a multisite matrix business, requiring regular communication to executive leadership
- Transformational change leadership exp, to ensure you take this highly engaged team on a ‘subtle change growth journey’ which will include supporting your sales leadership peers and their teams to leverage off the larger organisations and your networks and strengths as you remove the silo ’ed approach and embed this high performing business into the wider organisation’s family
- High level of EQ ensuring the retention of people engagement
- Demonstrated expertise establishing a clear business unit vision to maximise on assets, specifically encapsulating a multisite labour force (200+ fte) and operational assets (heavy vehicles, processing plants and industrial incinerators)
- Confident in driving cost performance of a multi-site operation
- Demonstrated understanding of the challenges of running Process and Fleet
- Exp in the development and delivery of budgets in a complex business by overseeing and driving operational discipline, KPI reporting and processes to support P&L performance
- Conceptual & analytical skills with proven capacity to establish commercial directions for a complex business, including successful action plans managing risk and compliance
- Experience leading a regionally dispersed Branch Management team is ideal
- Strong knowledge of business reporting and analytical practices
