Medical Receptionist

**Coastal Health Medical Centre** is currently seeking a professional and adaptable **Casual Medical Receptionist** to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a high-performing and supportive environment delivering quality care across **general practice, skin checks, and women’s health services**.

You’ll be primarily based at our **Toukley clinic**, with flexibility to work across our **North Wyong and The Entrance locations** a great advantage.

**What You’ll Be Doing**

**Reception & Administration**:

- Manage a **high-volume appointment system**:

- Handle a **busy multi-line phone system** with confidence and professionalism
- Greet and assist patients, managing check-in/out and documentation
- Maintain **accurate patient records** and ensure **confidentiality**:

- Track test results and incoming specialist reports
- Prepare **health summaries**, manage **recall systems**:

- Perform scanning, faxing, photocopying and typing of reports including **medico-legal documents**:

- Collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative teams

**Billing & Financial Duties**:

- Explain billing procedures to patients, including **private and third-party billing** (e.g., Workers Compensation, pre-employment medicals)
- Process payments via **EFTPOS/credit card**:

- Reconcile **daily takings**, batch and lodge **Medicare and DVA claims**:
**What You’ll Bring**
- Prior **medical reception/administration** experience (general practice preferred) using Best Practice is highly regarded.
- Excellent **computer and keyboard** skills
- Strong **attention to detail** and ability to manage competing priorities
- Warm, professional, and **patient-focused** communication
- Ability to work well under pressure and contribute to a **collaborative team**:

- Flexibility to work across multiple locations if needed
