Our traineeship program is a fantastic way to gain on-the-job work experience that will help kick-start your new career in Environmental Health. This position will involve the successful applicant to undertake regulatory inspections and complaint investigations under relevant environmental and public health legislation.
- You will be mentored and trained by experienced professionals who will assist you in developing your technical skills. In addition, Council will support your studies by providing financial reimbursement and time off to attend class.
- The successful applicant will have:

- Working towards a Bachelor of Natural Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent
- Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993, Food Act 2003, Public Health Act 2010 and the Protection of the Environmental Operations Act 1997.
- Well-developed ability to complete tasks thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner.
- High level verbal and written communication skills.

Salary will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience and competencies of the successful applicant.
