**We are looking for Mental Health Support Workers, friendly, respectful, and willing to learn. Support Worker with experience, who truly cares for the participants, is willing to listen**, **and to help them achieve their full potential. An ability to build strong relationships with participants and other stakeholders is a must, as is the genuine desire to provide the best quality support for people with disabilities.**

**Requirements**:

- **Ability to work independently and effectively manage time**:

- **The ability to support participants to achieve social and self-care goals**:

- **Effective verbal and written communication skills**:

- **Level II First Aid and CPR**:

- **NDIS Worker Screening check**:

- **Current WWCC/ Blue Card or willingness to obtain**:

- **Current Australian Driver's License**:

- **Certificate III in Individual Support or Cert IV in Disability/Aged Care, or equivalent qualification (Preferable)**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Follow person-centered support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully**:

- **Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks**:

- **Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record-keeping**:

- **Follow company procedures when reporting incidents and maintain confidentiality**:

- **Build meaningful positive relationships with our clients and their families**:

- **Medication assistance**:

- **Assist with meal preparation**:

- **Management of challenging behaviours**:

- **Maintaining records of client progress**

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $31.00 - $51.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Fixed shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Public holidays
- Rotating roster
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
- Weekends only

Ability to commute/relocate:

- South Brisbane, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
