Disability Support Worker

**OPPORTUNITY TO WORK LOCALLY**

We are looking for committed people in the
**Glenorie** area who are experienced in providing residential (group home) support, as well as support to access the wider community. You should be experienced in supporting clients with challenging behavior and the provision of personal care.

Shift lengths range from 4, 5 or 8 hours as required.

To be successful, you will need well developed interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a Team as well as family members, you will need good communication (both written and verbal) skills and the ability to follow the strict routines and protocols required to provide support in the setting at which you work.

**Essential Criteria which staff MUST have to be considered** for the position are:

- Minimum IV in Disability Studies.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Completed NDIS Worker Induction Module - Quality, Safety & You.
- Infection Control Training - COVID-19 Certificate.
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Drivers License, a Reliable vehicle with Comprehensive Insurance.
- Minimum six months experience in Residential Support gained in Australia.
- 100 points of ID
- The right to work in Australia

**You will also need experience in**:

- Supporting people with challenging behavior and eating disorders.
- Provision of support via the implementation of strict Support Plans.
- Provision of Community Access.
- Implementation of Individual Goals, Plans, Routines.
