**In this role you will**:

- Establish, manage, and maintain professional relationships with contractors and managed service providers providing services to QCS.
- Implement and manage cyber security incident response processes that align with industry best practice, including monitoring, investigating, containing, eradicating, recovering, documenting, and reporting on security events and incidents.
- Oversee the implementation of best practice cyber security controls and processes that comply with the legislative and regulatory environment in which QCS operates (e.g., IS18, ISO/IEC 27001, ASD Essential Eight Strategies to Mitigate Cyber Security Incidents, ASD Information Security Manual (ISM).
- Undertake technical information security threat and risk assessments and threat modelling as required.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve robust cyber security governance, risk management and compliance processes throughout the organisation.
- Develop and maintain professional cyber security reports, dashboards, briefing papers, presentations, policies, standards, frameworks and other documents as required.
- Manage cyber security investigations while working with key stakeholders such as the ethical standards unit.
- provide leadership and mentoring to a team of cyber security professionals.
- Manage and continuously improve the organisations cyber resilience capability, including cyber security incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery activities.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standard operating procedures for the QCS Cyber Security Unit.
- Manage and lead assurance and audit activities relating to cyber security as required. perform other duties as required.
- This position may be required to perform on call duties for cyber security incident response purposes.
