Ulladulla Residential Services is a small community-run organisation who focus on the real needs of the people we support.

We are currently looking for passionate, reliable, committed, and enthusiastic Casual Disability Support Worker to help support our housemates.

We are looking for people who have a genuine desire to provide the best possible support to people with disability and complex needs.

Our service supports just five people. They share a house together, and all housemates are supported in meaningful daily activities at home and in the local community.

Our aim is to support people to have valued social roles, that enable them access to the good things of life, just like everybody else. Because of our philosophy and our size, we are able to focus on the real needs of the people we support and provide supports based on individuality and to support people to live the best lives possible.

Experience is not necessary but you will need to have great communication skills, commonsense and be willing to learn and follow instructions. You must be available to work various shifts including early mornings, week days, evenings, active overnight and weekends.

As a Support Worker, you will be supporting our housemates to:

- Engage in valuing activities in the community that promote positive interaction and inclusion.
- Providing emotional and empathetic supports that enhance the persons competencies, skills, and social image.
- Support the person to complete important daily activities of choice, which complements their individual needs and desires.
- Support the person with daily personal care and hygiene tasks
- Performing home based tasks such as food preparation and housework.

Do you have the following skills:

- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of a person-centred approach.
- Ability to follow established safe support work practices and within the policy and procedures of the organisation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to connect with people with disability.
- Ability to follow individual support plans.
- Availability to work across a range of shifts on a 24/7 roster.

**Do you meet the following essential criteria?**
- A willingness to undertake training and development
- Current First Aid and CPR
- Current NSW “C” Driver’s Licence
- Willingness to undertake a NDIS Worker Screening
- Completion of 'A Worker Orientation Module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’
- You have had 2 Covid 19 Vaccines

Pay: $35.00 - $42.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 30 per week

**Experience**:

- Disability Support: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- National Police Certificate (required)
