**Job Title**: Dishwasher/Kitchenhand

**Reports To**: Head Chef/Kitchen Manager
**Job Summary**:
The Dishwasher/Kitchenhand is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment within the kitchen. This role is essential in ensuring a smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Dishwashing**:
- Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwashers or by hand.
- Scrape food particles from dishes and utensils.
- Load and unload dishwashing machines.
- Sort and stack clean dishes, utensils, and cookware.
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of dishwashing areas, including sinks, counters, and floors.
- Monitor dishwashing chemicals and ensure proper usage.
- **Kitchenhand Duties**:
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, peeling potatoes, or portioning ingredients.
- Clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and utensils.
- Remove trash and garbage from the kitchen area.
- Sweep and mop floors.
- Stock supplies, such as food, paper products, and cleaning supplies.
- Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic food safety and sanitation knowledge.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Ability to work in a hot and humid environment.
**Working Conditions**:
