**Role**
- Provides professional communications advice, guidance and support to aid the development of the ACWS communications and stakeholder engagement strategy, plans and key messages that support the successful achievement of the project outcomes.
- Works with the broader corporate communications team and SMEs to ensure communications are coordinated and consistent across the Corporation.
- Understands the communication opportunities and challenges of the ACWS Project.
- Develops the ACWS Communication and Engagement Strategy and tactical communication plan, including:
- identifying key stakeholders and outlining their needs
- assessing and understanding any existing research and analysis.
- In consultation with the ACWS working groups, crafts the ACWS narrative and key messages.
- Identifies communication risks and mitigations.
- Develops and delivers the ACWS tactical communications and engagement plan.
- Considers external engagement and key messages working alongside the Regional Service Providers (RSPs).
- Responds to and prioritises competing and often urgent requests in a calm and efficient manner while maintaining high work standards and attention to detail.
- Establishes communication measures of success and reports on the communications activity.
- Liaises with the ACWS project team on strategic and tactical communications, to ensure effective communication is undertaken with internal and external stakeholders.
**STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT**
- Develops and leverages strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to influence and create alignment in messaging and effectively manage issues.
- Identifies and understands the ACWS stakeholders, roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities for delivery across areas of business.
- Engages with and facilitates an effective working relationship between business units.
- Develops and maintains an internal and external network to foster and facilitate the project's internal communications.
- Engages with internal stakeholders to gain their buy in and support to foster a strong stakeholder engagement culture.
- Attends regular information-sharing workshops with Horizon Power communications and engagement team.
- Works with stakeholders to ensure any legal obligations with respect to native title and cultural heritage issues are recognised and considered.
- Develops relationships with key internal stakeholders, including project manager, steering groups and Aboriginal Community Engagement teams.
**GOVERNANCE**:
- Works alongside the single governance model, including Steer Co, Leadership Group, and ongoing working group to support delivery - covering both internal and external communications and engagement.
- Establishes an internal ACWS Communications and Engagement Working Group to build relationships with the team to ensure the project is set up for success.
- Develops and obtains agreement on the communication governance framework, including an approvals matrix and process.
- Attends Working Group meetings and is timely in capturing key messages to be the central source of truth, identifies communication actions and shares key decisions.
**Qualifications and experience (Degree, Post-Secondary Qualification, Trade Certificate)**
- Degree qualification in Communications, Public Relations, Media Management or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience in delivering communication programs and providing advice and support at a corporate level in a large service-based organisation.
- Substantial experience in developing proactive relationships with internal and external stakeholders

- Demonstrated ability to engender and stimulate employee engagement, commitment, and advocacy.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering strategic communications and engagement programs for large complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to inspire and deliver clear and consistent messaging and expectations
- Customer-focussed delivery approach characterised by an ability to respond and deliver to a consistently high standard in tight-timeframes.
- Deep understanding of diverse stakeholder need
