Victorian government owned corporation that provides an essential service to some of the fastest-growing communities in Australia, stretching from Melbourne's CBD to Lancefield in the north and Bacchus Marsh in the west.
**Your new role**
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cutover strategy, considering program objectives, timelines, and dependencies.
- Conduct a business readiness assessment: Conduct a thorough assessment of the organisation's readiness for the transformation program. This involves evaluating the current state of the organization, including its culture, capabilities, and resources, and identifying any potential barriers to success.
- Develop business readiness criteria: Based on the transformation goals and objectives and the results of the business readiness assessment, develop clear criteria for measuring business readiness. These criteria should be specific, measurable, and aligned with the goals and objectives of the program.
- Define metrics and KPIs: Define specific metrics and KPIs that will be used to measure business readiness against the defined criteria. These metrics should be tracked over time to monitor progress and identify any areas where additional action is needed.
- Lead and coordinate all cutover activities, ensuring a smooth transition from existing systems/processes to new ones.
- Manage cutover team members and stakeholders, providing clear direction, support, and guidance throughout the process.
- Proactively identify risks and issues related to cutover activities and develop mitigation and resolution plans.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including business leaders, project teams, and end-users, to ensure alignment and understanding of cutover plans and activities.- Conduct post-cutover reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.- Document best practices and create standardized cutover management methodologies.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, IT, Engineering) is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Program Cutover Manager or similar role, managing complex cutover activities in large-scale programs.
- Strong knowledge of program and project management principles, methodologies, and tools.
- Experience in change management, including stakeholder engagement, communication, and training.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is desirable.
