**(Level B) $107,276- $126,894 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation**

The specific topic area of these posts is the development of new light-based imaging technologies and their translation to biological research or industry.

The successful applicants will play leading roles in developing and implementing classical and quantum concepts for imaging within a vibrant team.

The successful applicants will be required to undertake both experimental work and numerical studies and will be expected to liaise with key institutes such as the Institute of Photonics and Advanced Sensing and biologists in the Faculty of Health & Medical Sciences.

**To be successful you will need**:

- A PhD in Optics/ Photonics/ Physics and/or Microscopy
- The ability to work well and collaborate with people in academia.
- The ability to plan and manage own research activity related to acoustics and conduct relevant individual and collaborative research projects.
- Good oral communication, skills in journal and conference paper writing.
