**About the role**

Our St John the Baptist Early Learning Centre is a purpose-built preschool on the grounds of St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School. At our Early Learning Centre we provide a range of activities for children aged between 3 and 5 years of age so that each child can engage in something they are interested in.

We are looking for a Child Care Educator that can understand the needs of a child and create a fun, warm, caring and safe environment. This role is a permanent role with flexibility to work across our morning and afternoon shifts.

**Ideally you will be able to**:

- Have an understanding and experience with My Time, Our Place Framework
- Assist the Coordinator to plan, implement and evaluate programs
- Ensure a welcoming, safe, hygienic environment, reflective of best practices
- Create a fun and engaging environment through play experiences
- Develop positive and supportive relationships with children and families
- Form collaborative and positive relationship with colleagues

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Completed the Diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Current and valid Working With Children Check clearance
- Completed ‘Identify and Respond to Children and Young People at Risk of Harm’
- Completed or willing to complete Safe Food Handling training
- First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain one before starting
