**About the role**

CatholicCare is seeking a Support Worker to join our team at our St John the Baptist Early Learning Centre.

The role of the Support Worker in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3-5-year-olds.

This is a max term part-time position.

**Duties**
- Assist the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3-5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework.
- Develop a positive and supportive relationship with children.
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Work with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations
- Establish and maintain good relationships with families.
- Work flexible hours to support the 3-5 year after school program (your working day would start at 10am)

**Requirements**:

- Certificate III qualifications (relevant experience in Early Childhood Education is
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis
- Completion of Identify & Respond to Children and Young People at Risk (CHCPRT001 or previous equivalent)
- Knowledge of the Education and Care National Regulations and National Quality Framework and Being, Belonging and Becoming
- Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
