The Star is growing as part of our transformation and renewal strategy. To support this important function, we are seeking a Head of Governance to join our Chief Controls & Enablement office.

Reporting to the Chief Controls & Enablement Officer, you will take accountability for risk related committee governance of The Star Sydney property. The key relationships you will hold are with The Star Sydney leadership team and with external bodies including Regulatory authorities & government agencies.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure robust and accurate documentation of committees and forums relating to risk
- Support business leaders with committees, board papers and prepare control testing reports
- Use technology to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Review committee/ forum minutes against charters to ensure purpose of meetings is met
- Respond to regulatory and third-party findings and develop strategies to implement recommendations

**What are we looking for?**
- Proven experience as a company secretary or in a corporate risk function in a highly regulated industry
- Demonstrated ability in developing effective relationships to manage and drive change
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of Casino Control Act, Industrial relations and OH&S laws
- Tertiary qualification in legal, commercial, business or corporate administration highly desirable
- Someone who values and can manage communication with employees and promote positive employee relations
