For our Support Office located at Sydney International Airport we are looking for a Payroll Officer. The Payroll Officer is responsible to administer the timely, accurate and relevant processing and recording of payroll, and to assist the Payroll Manager in other areas of the payroll function.**Payroll Officer**
Your new job includes
- Timely and accurate processing of end-to-end payroll including new starter on-boarding, termination payments including redundancy, leave management and superannuation.
- Fortnightly Payroll for Australia and New Zealand Payroll and may assist with our salaried monthly payroll.
- Conduct end-of-month payroll processing tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
- Assist with payroll tax submissions across various states to ensure compliance.
- Respond to staff wage and salary queries.
- Assist managers by providing necessary reports, superannuation statements, month and year-end procedure
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes ensuring services meet professional and industry standards
What you should bring along
- A minimum of 2 years in a Payroll Officer position
- A confident working knowledge of excel, at minimum intermediate level is essential
- A working knowledge of the statutory obligations associated with payroll such as Superannuation, Work-Cover and Payroll Tax is essential
- A working knowledge on performing marginal tax calculations
- Experience with iChris will be highly regarded
