Position Description:
We are looking for a security technician who is confident in residential, commercial and retail environments for our Sydney based security company. Your Duties Will Include:
- Installing, commissioning and servicing CCTV security systems, alarm systems, intercom systems and access control systems.
- Communicating directly with customers to update them on job progress, provide aftercare, and ensure they’re comfortable using their new security system with hands-on training.
- Speak directly with customers and upsell products where you can.
- Liaising with suppliers to discuss systems and alternatives best suited for the job at hand.
- Providing high quality workmanship at all times, including communication both on/ off site
- Liaising with technical support when required.
- Providing ongoing operational support.
- Providing on the job training to your apprentice, ensuring they are getting hands on and learning from the best

What you will bring to the team:
- A positive, team-focused attitude, collaborating with colleagues, managers, and customers to deliver top-quality service.
- Strong communication skills with customers, teammates, and suppliers to ensure clear and effective interactions.
- Essential licenses: NSW Security Licence, valid driver’s licence, White Card, and Cablers Licence. An EWP card is also a plus.*
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a security technician, with skills in CCTV, alarms, intercom, and access control. Full experience in all areas is ideal, but we offer on-the-job training if needed.
- Confidence in representing CGF Security and Electrical on-site, with the ability to problem-solve and think on your feet when unexpected situations arise.
- Reliability, honesty, and a strong work ethic, willing to work overtime and nights as required.
- Taking pride in the quality of your work, and respecting our customers’ homes and businesses.
- An eagerness to contribute to the growth of CGF, thinking creatively and working with management to propel the company forward.
- Enthusiasm for mentoring and developing the next generation of security technicians.
