**About the Role**
We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Toolmaker to join our West Croydon Glass Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a day shift 7am - 3.30pm, working a 9-day fortnight. Working in the Mould Repair Department and reporting to the Mould Repair Manager, you will be responsible for repairing Glass Container moulding equipment to ensure Glass quality.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Preparation of Mould dies & componentry for Job Changeover process.
- Cleaning & inspection of used dies
- A variety of bench fitting duties to repair the dies such as welding, filing, hand grinding and polishing
- Milling and lathe repairs on a few interchangeable parts for glass moulding machinery
- You will work with a variety of hand tools, gauges & measuring equipment
- Further to this, you may be required to assist in general plant maintenance duties to support the wider Plant Reliability Team

**What You’ll Bring**
- Fitter / machinist trade qualification with milling and lathe experience in an industrial environment, preferably an Engineering or Toolmaking workshop
- Previous experience working in an industrial environment, preferably in manufacturing
- Meticulous attention to detail and precision
- Good hand eye coordination and ability to problem solve
- Previous TIG / MIG welding, operating CNC machines, tool making, and stores and goods inwards experience an advantage
