Milkbar Docklands is on the lookout for a reliable, energetic, and hands-on **Sandwich Hand / Kitchen Hand** to join our back-of-house team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, takes pride in quality prep work, and values working as part of a collaborative team.

You'll assist with preparing sandwiches, salads, and grab-and-go items, help maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support our chefs during busy service periods.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and assemble sandwiches, toasties, salads, and other grab-and-go items with attention to consistency and presentation
- Support the kitchen team with basic food prep (e.g. chopping, portioning, stocking)
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all kitchen areas, including benches, storage, and equipment
- Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils as required throughout the day
- Assist in receiving and storing food deliveries and rotating stock
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and OH&S procedures
- Work efficiently during peak periods and communicate clearly with team members
- Support the team in daily closing/clean-up duties

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Previous experience in a café or commercial kitchen is highly regarded but not essential
- Comfortable with food preparation and working around hot equipment
- Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team
- Basic understanding of safe food handling and hygiene practices
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and reliability
- Flexible availability - including mornings, weekends, and public holidays
