Canterbury currently has a career transforming opportunity available for a seasoned and professional **Gaming Duty Manager**. You will join a gaming leadership team who are passionate about guiding and supporting our gaming operations people. The position is located at our home club, Canterbury League Club, but may also support our satellite Clubs including The Lakemba Club and Moxon Sports Club.

No two days are the same. The club operates in a fast paced and exciting environment where we are bar raisers in the definition and delivery of service excellence. This hands-on role will report to the Gaming Manager and is responsible for the day to day running of the Gaming floor as well as dealing with incidents across the entire Club as they occur.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Ensuring consistent and exceptional customer service across all services areas, particularly on the Gaming floor;
- Prompt issue resolution with adherence to privacy, confidentiality and compliance requirements;
- General supervision of the overall premises during overnight trade;
- Leading and motivating a team of employees;
- Coaching and developing your team through constructive feedback and effective performance appraisals with the aim of attracting and retaining great staff;
- Participate and coordinate continuous improvement activities relating to service practices, quality assurance and customer service excellence;
- Managing and reporting on incidents that occur on the Gaming floor and other Club areas as required; and
- Managing employee work performance and grievances.

- Current NSW RSA/RCG/ARCG Certifications and Competency Card
- Current First Aid Certificate
- An impeccably presented, self-motivated team player with high level problem-solving skills;
- A solid background in leadership and motivating teams with strong reporting and communication skills (written and verbal);
- A working knowledge of gaming operations, including applicable legislation; Experience in food and beverage environment is highly regarded;
- Commitment to your professional development and the Canterbury vision, mission and values;
- Analytical skills to make recommendations to management;
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs;
- Available to work a rotating 24/7 roster including days, nights, weekends and peak periods; and
- Tertiary qualifications in frontline management (preferable, but not essential).
