- We're working with the Department of Justice and need people like you for our Custody Officer team in WA. As a Custody Officer, you'll help keep detainees safe and secure. You'll make sure they have what they need, while always being professional and respectful.

**What will you do?**
- Safely transport and supervise detainees.
- Help out at court when needed.
- Handle disagreements and talk to detainees respectfully, making a positive difference.
- Treat everyone fairly.
- Keep everyone safe - detainees, staff, and the public.
- Patrol the area.
- Supervise detainees, take them to appointments or court, and keep records.

**What do you need?**
- Able to train full-time for 6 weeks in Perth.
- Willing to work for at least 12 months to get your qualifications.
- Identify as Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- Willing to take a medical fitness test, including a drug and alcohol test.
- Willing to talk to our TRECCA team about your personal situation. We're a culturally safe space and will treat you with respect and understanding.
