Warehouse Assistant

FlameStop Australia is the largest independent Fire Equipment wholesaler in the country and currently we have a Warehouse Assistant position available on a permanent, full-time basis at our premises in Newcastle.

**Duties**:

- High volume of face to face customer service
- Picking, packing and dispatching of customer orders
- Booking in of freight via online portals and over the phone
- Receiving in of stock from local suppliers or branch transfers
- Loading and unloading of freight trucks and shipping containers
- Production related duties to assemble stock or for custom orders
- Manual handling, forklift driving and some lifting involved
- General warehouse maintenance and all other duties as instructed

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will form part of our growing team and be required to work independently at times. This will require a strong work ethic and ability to think on your feet.

Good written and verbal communication skills are required to succeed in this fast paced customer focused environment.

CURRENT FORKLIFT AND DRIVERS LICENSE IS PREFERRED BUT IS NOT ESSENTIAL FOR THE RIGHT APPLICANT.

**Salary**: $43,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- No weekends

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Thornton, NSW 2322: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Warehouse: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)
