The Dandenong Community and Learning Centre (DCLC) is a “Not for Profit” organisation, servicing people who reside or work in the City of Greater Dandenong. Our aim is to develop inclusive and caring communities, which value cultural diversity and support individuals to experience a sense of belonging within the local community.
Our services target individuals and communities. They include:

- Low cost educational programs, including English and computer literacy.
- Skills development, leading to greater independence, social interaction and opportunities for income generation.
- Reduce isolation of individuals and groups.
- Encourage communities to develop solutions to issues affecting their lives.
- Address social inequalities and increase life opportunities
- Learning or increasing skills that include making items for home and toys in our Community Shed.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified and experienced Accountant to become a Board of Governance member and Treasurer, who wants to make a difference to the many communities we work with across the City of Greater Dandenong. You could be a business, industry or community leader with extensive financial or accounting experience. Essentially we are looking for a community leader who wants to help DCLC thrive, maintain a positive financial position, and support our communities. Board
of Governance members are elected and re-elected each time for a 2-year term.

Our Board of Governance contributes to the continuing success of Dandenong Community and Learning Centre by providing sound governance and strategic direction to the organisation, with the overriding objective of ensuring the sustainability of the business into the future.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Volunteer
Part-time hours: 5 per week

**Salary**: $1.00 per year
