Finance Business Partner

**About the role**:
Reporting into the Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, this position plays a key role in the Finance team by assisting in the delivery of financial plans and analytical insights & reporting to the Executive Leadership Team (as well as external reporting to our shareholders and investment community).

**Key deliverables**:
**Planning & Budgeting (~30%)**
- Support the preparation of all annual budget & forecast deliverables - including Board and executive presentations, all profit centre and consolidated P&L, group cash flow and balance sheet modelling
- In connection with rolling forecasting process - updating all budget estimates for revised conditions

**Financial Reporting & Insights (~30%)**
- Ownership of key financial & non-financial metrics and working with Data & Analytics team to govern quality of data across the business
- Working with the Financial Accounting team to help manage period close activities
- Deliver regular trading insights delivered to the Executive team and wider business highlighting key business drivers and trends (versus last year and budget/forecast) across sales, margin & costs, as well industry & competition
- Co-ordination and compilation of financial reporting & insights for monthly board reports

**Investor Relations (~20%)**
- Support the preparation of ASX & Investor Relations reporting and investor roadshow presentations, including verification, data tables and Q&A
- Maintain broker consensus and outlook models

**Network Planning & Capital Feasibilities (~10%)**
- Preparation of feasibility papers for Board approval for new stores, as well as other capex and subsequent PIRs

**Business Partnering (~10%)**
- Act as a Finance Business Partner to Merchandise, Retail Operations, Marketing, IT/Digital & Supply Chain teams and assist with financial modelling/analysis when required
- Provide finance input into a significant transformational project (ERP/POS implementation)

**What you'll bring to the role**:

- Minimum 5 years experience with CA/CPA qualification
- Either Big 4 / leading mid-tier and/or similar commercial / FP&A experience ideally gained in an ASX listed environment
- Retail background preferred, but not essential
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to clearly articulate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Experience with data visualisation tools
- Critical thinking and ability to solve problems autonomously
- Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills
