Our Store General Managers (SGM) come from diverse retail leadership roles, but this has always been their dream role. Here, our team aren't dealing with objects and garments, but bringing their experience to lead a passionate team that helps everyday families with advice, support and solutions for the health and happiness of their furred, feathered or finned family members.
Our SGM are hands on in developing and leading high-performing teams and presenting an in store experience that Pet Parents love; a warm welcome, for them, their pet and seamless support from our retail, puppy school, veterinary and grooming salon services. This dynamic business keeps our SGM active overseeing the 2IC and team members, management of team and sales performance, recruitment, regular collaboration with the grooming team, Lead Vet and community engagement.
This store is a hub of activity all year round and at its core is you.
**Skills and Experiences**:
The vision of a successful retail leader.
You have been a store or department manager within a big box retail brand and you are experienced in managing the many aspects of a business:
- create and maintain a culture of customer service excellence
- develop a high performing team knowledgeable in products & services
- achieve growth through insightful analysis of business reports
- understand sales levers and how to convert them into targeted strategies
- effectively manage stock and allocate tasks to team member strengths
- celebrate success and have fun
