The National Manager Financial Lines & Injury Liability Claims is accountable leading the overall performance (customer, financial, people and risk) for the Financial Lines Claims and Injury Liability Portfolios holding ~$100M pa and ~$130M financial accountability respectively. This portfolio consists of professional indemnity, injury liability and highly complex claims nationally.
**What you’ll do (not limited to)**:
- Accountable for driving exceptional customer and claim outcomes for Financial Lines, Injury Liability and High Value and Complex claims
- Develop a team culture of high performance, accountability and customer focus
- Operationalise the Commercial Claims strategy
- Drive strength in capability and technical skill of individuals through coaching and support tailored professional development
- Use strong business acumen to understand and identify lead indicators, monitor individual / team and departmental results and manage performance
- Contribute to the development of the strategic and operational goals, and budget plans for the Commercial Claims portfolio specifically in building technical capabilities through all client facing claims roles.
**What you will bring**:
- Minimum 7 years commercial experience in insurance or financial services
- Minimum 5 years experience leading high performing teams
- Demonstrated management experience within insurance claims or large-scale operational teams
- In depth understanding of commercial insurance products, underwriting practices and product design
- Strong business acumen with strong knowledge of key business drivers that enables accurate budgeting, forecasting and business planning
- Critical thinking with the ability to analyse situations accurately and make effective decisions.
