**The Opportunity**

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter who will be responsible for executing mechanical maintenance and breakdown support to ensure the ongoing reliability of equipment and machinery at our Carole Park Plant.

With a keen eye for continuous improvement, you will play an integral role by working closely with our production team to provide technical support as required. You will work with mechanical machinery such as welders, process pumps, pipework and valves, screw & belt conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulic and drives.
- We have a number of fitters roles available for day and shift roles on a rotating roster._

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Reporting into the Maintenance Coordinator, the Maintenance Fitter will form part of the maintenance team and will be responsible for:

- Driving a safe behavioural culture and ensure safety compliance for all maintenance tasks.
- Carrying out preventative and breakdown maintenance on all mechanical machinery within the factory
- Working closely with the maintenance team to analyse performance issues and develop and implement strategies for improvement in production and efficiency.
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the factory
- Liaising and working closely with planning and stores personnel to ensure that parts and equipment are available when required to avoid delay and improve task execution.
- Working with production and finishing teams to improve communication and interaction between operators and maintenance / engineering personnel
- Assisting in ensuring regular maintenance programs are carried out in accordance with the maintenance plans, and to the correct standard
- Supporting the Shift Electrician on any electrical work for additional labour support.

**About you**:

- Strong commitment to Work Health & Safety, and Quality Management.
- A strong technical background with a mechanical trade qualification
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar role, focus on manufacturing plant machinery and equipment.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A hands-on attitude, strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both autonomously & as part of a team
- Available to work overtime or weekends when required
- Forklift Licence (not essential)
- SAP experience (advantageous)
