We are looking for an experienced Payroll officer to join a fantastic team in Chatswood. Working in the financial controller department, you will be responsible for payroll administrative support, providing accurate and efficient employee records management, technical and functional payroll operations.

**What you will be doing**:

- Process the collection, calculation and entering of payroll data in Micropay
- Enter employment information such as new starters, promotions, transfers and exits using approved Payroll Advice Form’s (PAFs)
- Ensure end-to-end payroll for weekly and fortnightly payroll cycles (Multiple companies) including producing payslips and EFT file, ensuring that overtime, adjustments, penalties and sick leave are correctly entered
- Ensure that wages are allocated to correct cost centres and validate general ledger account numbers
- Process Superannuation and provide relevant remittance information to Accounts Payable to facilitate electronic remittance in a timely manner
- Ensure the operational aspects of payroll processing and associated activities, including salary disbursement, overpayment recovery only when approved, leave management and reporting are accurate, delivered within appropriate timeframes and comply with relevant legislation and company policy

**About you**:

- Minimum 3 year’s experience using Micropay.
- Experience dealing with Payroll Tax and Workers compensation in different states
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Available immediately
