**The role**
As our
**Transport Supervisor** based in our Blacktown offices, you will
**be responsible for ensuring that our product is delivered safely and efficiently to our consumers, agents and distributors** across the region.

This is a
**hands-on role** where you’ll ensure all transport activities operate in compliance with standards, regulations, and Elgas policy at the most cost-efficient method whilst also meeting Elgas’ and customer’s expectations. All of this is to be achieved with properly trained drivers and maintained vehicles operating to company and regulatory standards. Operational emphasis on cylinder & tanker deliveries, driver induction / recruitment, training & support and scheduling will be required

**Other responsibilities in this role include**:

- Monitor and Manage transport costs, contractor performance, payments, control, payment of payroll, agency labour hire, rostering and absenteeism
- Coordinate and control established standards of maintenance (including preventative maintenance) and breakdown programs on all delivery vehicles
- Management and control of drivers in accordance with Basic Fatigue Management, National regulations, Elgas compliance and practices including conducting driver safety meetings.
- Complete regular inspections on transport vehicles to ensure high standards of safety, compliance, security and cleanliness is maintained
- Constant coordination with the Regional Transport Scheduler(s)
- Maximise fleet operations profitable return
- Respond to and investigate any internal/external complaints and follow up and remedial actions

- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work under pressure whilst achieving deadlines
- Strong computer skills including experience with similar transport routing systems
- Able to multi-task, share team responsibilities to maintain maximum monitoring level of prompt, efficient and courteous customer service.
- Flexible approach to work to operate effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with all levels of the business
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to details and accuracy
