**About The Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare, conduct and finalise Defence strategic procurement activities within the CASG environment as a member of the
- Commercial team. Author and review complex strategic procurement and contracting documentation using the ASDEFCON suite that complies with relevant legislative, policy and regulatory frameworks and Defence quality standards including the PGPA Act,
- Commonwealth Procurement Rules, Defence Procurement Policy Manual.
- Provide commercial advice in relation to commercially sensitive reports, submissions, and other documents as required.
- Analyse, identify and develop mitigation strategies for the risks associated with procurement and contracting activities, contract performance, and compliance with legislative and policy frameworks.
- Coordinate and provide procurement advice, assistance, products and services to facilitate risk management, ethics and probity. For discrete tasking, be able to lead a multi-disciplinary team and be accountable to set work priorities and workflows for required work packages.
- Support complex procurement activities

**About You**:

- Relevant qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, Finance, Contract Management and/or Procurement.
- More than 8 years experience in Commercial Management or Contract Management.
- A current security clearance (minimum NV1).
- Experience authoring and reviewing complex strategic procurement and contracting documentation using the ASDEFCON suite.
- Comprehensive understanding of Australian Government procurement processes and procedures.
- Very strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in a Defence CASG project environment.
- Experience with Foreign Military Sales procurement processes and activities.
- Comprehensive understanding of Defence processes and structure.
- Comprehensive understanding of the One Defence Capability System (formerly the Capability Life Cycle).
- Experience with procurement in a highly technical ICT/communications system context.
