**About the Position**

Iplex has an exciting new opportunity for a pivotal role within our Senior Leadership Team (SLT), as the
**Head of Category & Procurement** based in
**Melbourne or Brisbane**. We are looking for an exceptional leader with the ability to lead our Procurement, Sourcing, Product & Category Management teams across our large-scale, national business.

You will lead a team of skilled professionals to drive continuous improvements in strategic procurement, supplier relationships and sourcing strategies, for both direct and indirect products and services. You will also be responsible for a team of Product and Technical experts to lead the development of our category strategies, product ranges and new product innovation programs.

This role is a unique leadership opportunity that spans a broad spectrum of disciplines from category and product range development through to procurement and sourcing strategies and execution.

You will have a robust strategic capability, excellent people leadership skills, and strength in negotiation and influence. From a procurement and sourcing perspective, you will be able to effectively collaborate with key internal stakeholders and suppliers to identify opportunities for value creation. From a category and product perspective, you will be responsible for ensuring customer and market insights are captured and leveraged to implement a winning product range and service offer.

**Skills and Experience**
- Senior experience leading Procurement and Category/Product teams across large-scale businesses
- Demonstrated ability of translating customer and market insights into growth, procurement and sourcing strategies for value
- Proven ability to drive supplier and sourcing optimisation initiatives that improve financial performance
- Track record for delivering product innovations that profitably grow product ranges and categories
- Excellent negotiation skills with experience in highly complex contracts and agreements
- Ability to drive change with positivity and clarity, ensuring all stakeholders are fully engaged
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, Procurement, or related disciplines
- Postgraduate qualifications highly regarded
- Strong analytical and numerical capabilities
