**The Role**

An exciting, full-time opportunity for an enthusiastic Community Engagement Consultant is available in the South West Sydney region.

The Community Engagement Consultant develops and maintains effective relationships with key stakeholders including government and non-government agencies, referral sources, community partners to generate referral pathways for people living with a Disability across your service area to register for Ability Options services.

Our services are spread across Sydney, Central Coast, Hunter and Mid North Coast region - travel may be required from time to time.

**About You**

You will be passionate about enhancing customer experience and motivated to succeed with a proven track record in meeting KPIs, building relationships and displaying a resilient can do attitude.

To succeed in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate:

- Key government employment programs including DES, Jobactive, Work Ready and ParentsNext
- NDIS funding arrangements particularly the support items that relate to COS, Therapy, Accommodation, and employment
- Other services available within and outside of our organisation to support and assist stakeholders of interest
- High level of verbal and written communication skills including facilitation, public speaking skills and the ability to write reports or documents.
- Ability to align to and implement the company’s strategy, purpose and vision
- Securing a key number of quality referrals for our consultants
- Developing and maintaining ongoing customer (existing and prospective) relationships.
- Extensive knowledge of the work assist program to market, liaise with community linkages and help implement with DES teams.
- School engagement addressing post school options across DES, SLES
- Effectively respond to and address stakeholder needs
- Achievement orientated with a focus on continual improvement and customer service.
- Effectively managing and expanding the Customer Relationship Management Database.
- Local/state and federal government initiatives and changes to support local sites
- In-depth knowledge of the local service area and its current events
- Community, health and government services available to enhance our service delivery
- Demonstrate superior communication skills to leverage partnerships from a community and business perspective

**Essential Criteria**
- Working knowledge of The Disability Services Act and Disability Service Standards.
- Working knowledge of The Federal Government Employment Services and associated programs.
- Working knowledge of the NDIS and how participants access services
- Valid Current Drivers licence [min P2];
- Valid Comprehensive Car Insurance policy
- Valid NDIS Police and Working with Children Check
- Evidence of Covid-19 Vaccination including booster

**Desirable Criteria**:

- External Relationships: Based in the community, close collaboration and development and maintenance of key business relationships with employers and community organisations.
- Knowledge of, or ability to acquire detailed knowledge of relevant industry standards and practices.
- Experience in or knowledge of Disability Employment Services and/or Employment Services
