Opal Fibre Packaging Australia supplies a wide range of innovative corrugated packaging solutions to a broad range of market segments that includes FMCG, fruit and produce, protein, dairy, dry goods, wine, beverage, and industrial manufacturers. We have an opportunity for an Electrical team member to come on board and join the Opal team at our Revesby site.

The key focus’ of this role will include:

- Supervising both subcontractors and our in-house workforce
- Complete progress reporting, and activities, reports for shift handovers and consistent regular reporting to the Construction Lead.
- Read and understand plans, review design documentation, read drawings, and provide constructive review and implementing of final designs.
- Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, communicate with and engage relevant stakeholders to control risk and contribute to building a risk management culture.
- Planning and procurement of appropriate plant, material, and resources to fulfill project requirements.
- Manage access and movement of materials, plant, and equipment to and within the site and work area in a safe and cost-efficient manner.
- Provide positive leadership to ensure the quality and standard of workmanship performed is in accordance with the specifications.
- Deliver accurate and clear PLC code workflow, calculations, and manuals.

The requirements for this role/ what we would ideally like you to have includes:

- Must be a currently Licenced NSW qualified electrician.
- A current forklift ticket would be preferred.
- Experience in Paper/Packaging or a highly automated plant industry highly desirable.
- Cert 4 in Competitive Manufacturing - desirable.
- Understanding of basic to intermediate mechanical system principles will also be highly considered.
- Understands the importance of working with a sense of urgency and remaining calm under high pressure situations
- Experience in programming (Siemens, Muk Robots, Minda Belts) would be advantageous
- Previous electrical experience within a manufacturing environment (FMCG, food production or similar) would be beneficial
