**About the team**

Working within the Parks Branch, which offer a dynamic and social environment to work towards delivering customers wants and needs, recognising that community's needs are at the core of every decision.

**Position objective**:
Maintain and support the use of spatial information systems and data to enable the Parks Branch to achieve operational and

strategic outcomes, primarily in the area of parks maintenance

**Key responsibilities**:

- Councils Geographical Information system (GIS)
- Develop GIS user manuals and educational materials
- Provide GIS technical advice, project support and mentoring to the Park Branch when required
- Develop and collate accurate GIS maps, maintenance schedules and other documentation necessary for tender processes
- Maintain and update GIS data for new, deleted or modified parks maintenance sites
- Attend On/Off Maintenance site meetings to capture park contract maintenance requirements for new developments
- Provide high levels of customer service both within and outside of Council

**Essential requirements**:

- Demonstrated high-level GIS skills and experience (preferably using ESRI-Arc GIS ), including the ability to create and
- processes.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge of spatial concepts and standards along with the ability to use investigative and problem
- solving techniques to resolve GIS related issues
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office 2013, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems
- Minimum qualification of Certificate 4 in Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
