Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated carers to join our team in the Blue Mountains area. In this role, you will provide essential personal care and support to residents in Aged Care facilities, ensuring their well-being, dignity, and comfort. You will work closely with registered nurses, allied health professionals, and families to deliver person-centered care that enhances the quality of life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting

2. Provide mobility and transfer assistance, using appropriate equipment and techniques

3. Support residents with meals, including feeding assistance when required

4. Engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote well-being

5. Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing team

6. Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with facility policies

7. Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents

8. Uphold residents rights, privacy, and dignity at all times

9. Follow infection control and workplace health and safety procedures

Skills and Experience

1. Minimum of certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent (preferred)

2. Previous experience in aged care or disability support (desirable)

3. A compassionate and patient approach to caring for the elderly

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

5. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

6. Understanding of aged care standards and regulations

7. Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

8. Police Check and Working with Vulnerable People Check (or willingness to obtain)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $39.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 30 per week
