We are looking for an experienced **Maintenance Technician **with an **Industrial Electrical background **to join our supportive and friendly team. You will provide high levels of technical support servicing our customer’s equipment to ensure customer issues, incidents and breakdowns are resolved quickly and efficiently.

This role will be based at Canning Vale site with the occasional requirement to travel to other client sites.

The **hours of work alternate week to week between a 5-day afternoon shift pattern **(attracting +15% loading) and a **5-day nightshift pattern **(attracting +30% loading):

- **Monday to Thursday + PH**: 14:00 - 22:00 ( _Afternoon Shift _) & 22:00 - 06:00 ( _Night Shift _)
- **Sunday**: 14:00 - 22:00 ( _Afternoon Shift _) & 22:00 - 06:00 ( _Night Shift _)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Trouble shoot and problem solve to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Carry out equipment audits and preventative maintenance tasks
- Electrical fault finding, replacing contactors, relays, photo eyes
- Programming drives, scanners, electronic controls modules
- Troubleshooting PLCs
- Lubrication, belt tracking, replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors & gearboxes
- Undertake training of new technicians
- Seek to reduce downtime and improve system reliability
- Identify operational and equipment improvement opportunities through ongoing investigation and root cause analysis of faults.

**Tasks and Qualifications**:
**WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR**
- Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting & problem-solving equipment faults within a maintenance environment
- **Electrical**: Unrestricted Electrical Licence (Australian)
- **Trade Qualification**: Certificate III - Electrotechnology & above
- Your own transportation and current Australian driver’s license
- A commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction
- Be mechanically savvy (experience with maintaining mechanical and pneumatic systems)
- Experience within automation environments (particularly conveyors) and material handling equipment
- Industrial controls understanding (PLC's, VFD's, HMI's, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
- Ability to work in isolation and make decisions
- Excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills
- Strong customer focus and attention to detail with all tasks

**The following are highly regarded**:

- PLC experience (we can provide training on Siemens S7 and SCADA systems)
- Sound experience in Microsoft Office and report writing skills
- Computerised maintenance systems experience (such as MEX, SAP, Maximo, etc.)
- Experience with automation (conveyors and sortation systems)
