Mechanical Planner

This role is to ensure all mechanical job requests are assessed, estimated, and prepared to maximise execution efficiency and minimise repair cost.

Based out of Qenos manufacturing site in Altona, you will be working in a dynamic environment with a multi discipline team to efficiently and effectively solve problems, ensuring that the plant operates in a safe and robust manner while meeting the overall business objectives.

**As the successful applicant, some of your core responsibilities will include**:

- Work with Schedulers to integrate repairs with weekly schedules
- Produce job packages with materials and repair strategies to minimise repair time and downtime of equipment
- Scope & plan all new work in SAP (Multiple discipline) including generation of work packs for execution
- Report maintenance performance resources
- Screen all job requests for accuracy of correct functional location/designation
- Monitor job rotating equipment backlog
- Scope all resource requirements and notify schedulers of work that needs to be integrated into the weekly schedule
- Manage fixed cost spend against business plan
- Participate in audits and SHE reviews, lead/participate/facilitate safe work reviews for maintenance activities
- Provide assistance to Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Team Leader to rescope, replan and facilitate procurement for rotating equipment repairs

**Ideally your experience will include**:

- A Trade’s background with Engineering qualification
- An advanced technical capability and aptitude with strong maintenance job planning and coordination skills
- Minimum three years’ in a Maintenance/Planning position within a Petrochemical or related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of maintenance systems and work practices (CMMS systems - SAP preferred)
- A strong understanding and commitment to SHE and Quality standards
