**About the Role and You**
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the infrastructure and equipment at our supported accommodations is well maintained and presented. The role ensures compliance with all appropriate regulations and plays a key role in guaranteeing a safe environment for both clients and staff.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Undertaking general building maintenance including repairing furniture, doors, locks, curtains, lights, sinks, toilets and other equipment.
- Maintaining gardens.
- Undertaking minor painting works.
- Collecting building and maintenance materials as required.
- Undertaking scheduled maintenance as well as urgent repairs.
- Ensuring the facility is well presented at all times through regular inspections.
- Assist with the delivery of chemicals and the filling of chemical bottles.
- Maintaining adequate stock of supplies for the facility.
- Maintaining the vehicles located on site.

**Key Criteria**
- Ability to perform basic building & equipment maintenance, painting & handyman duties.
- Knowledge and ability to operate various tools used in building and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to use, monitor and repair tools/equipment to ensure safe use.
- Organise, manage time and prioritise effectively throughout the day.
- Ability to adjust and/or repair faulty/broken equipment.
- Read, interpret, and work from plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Analyse situations and act effectively.
- A beginners level of computer literacy.

**This role is being hired on a permanent full time basis and will work from Monday-Friday, 0800-1600. The role will provide services to the East Metro region of Perth. A company vehicle, as well as all required tools, will be provided to the successful person.**
