**In this role, you will contribute to effective supervision, programming, and utilisation of resources to achieve project objectives and provide leadership in the adoption of change initiatives at the project level.

You will build and sustain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and the project team. You will support the Operations Unit by scheduling road maintenance inspections and services. Additionally, you will supervise the execution of civil infrastructure projects related to road maintenance and rehabilitation.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervise the delivery of civil infrastructure projects related to road maintenance, through Responsive Maintenance Contracts (RMC), across all stages of the project cycle.
- Maintain awareness and understanding of asbestos to facilitate identification and testing.
- Utilise standard drawings, specifications, supplementary specifications, and other pertinent job documentation to ensure work meets standards and quality expectations.
- Aid in the management of civil infrastructure projects, focusing on road maintenance contracts, throughout the entire project life cycle.
- Coordinate and schedule road condition inspections and propose recommendations for restoration measures and materials. Collaborate with relevant engineering and technology divisions concerning road condition and suitable repair methods. Effectively use infrastructure management systems to support inspection and quality review efforts.
- Coordinate and direct personnel and resources during emergency situations.
- Arrange material logistics and engage with suppliers, conducting supplier performance evaluations as necessary.
- Assist the Project Manager in organising Road Maintenance Contract (RMC) inspections.

Mandatory qualifications and conditions
- The recommended applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical as part of our selection process for this role.
- Applicants must possess a current, valid Queensland "C" class driver's licence or equivalent.
- You may be required to travel to other locations to undertake activities for varying periods of time. You will be entitled to expenses and allowances for such travel.
- Possession of a Certificate III in Civil Construction applicable to modern transport infrastructure projects, plus core Leadership and Management competencies, is required. Alternatively, applicants must have the ability to acquire these competencies within 36 months.
- Significant previous experience in Road maintenance or construction.
- Participation in Civil Trades Development Program (CTDP) and possession of a White Card (Construction Induction).

Desirable requirements
- Certificate IV in Civil Supervision (Leadership and Management competencies) or be able to complete within 36 months of commencement.
