**The Role**
The Project Controller position responsibilities include:
- develop and maintain project budgets, including tracking expenditures, monitoring variances, and forecasting future spending needs
- manage project financial transactions, including invoicing, purchase orders, and contract administration
- ensure compliance with government regulations, policies, and procedures, as well as contractual obligations
- assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, including tracking progress, identifying critical path activities, and assessing the impact of delays
- provide project status reports and updates to senior management, stakeholders, and other team members
- facilitate communication and collaboration between project teams, stakeholders, and external partners
- identify and mitigate project risks, including developing risk management plans and contingency plans
- contribute to the development and implementation of project management best practices and standards
- monitor and evaluate project performance, including conducting post-project evaluations and lessons learned sessions.
**About our Team**
The project is part of a multi-phased program for the enhancement of the RAN’s maritime communications capability to upgrade ANZAC Class Frigates communication systems, addressing obsolescence to improve communications management.
SEA1442 Phase 4 is upgrading the communications capability and addressing communications obsolescence in the eight Anzac Class Frigates by upgrading and modernising:
- communications management
- secure voice and tactical intercom
- red/black switching
- tactical radios
- high data rate line-of-sight
- support systems
- a secondary Maritime Tactical Wide Area
- Network (MTWAN) Shore Gateway
- the Anzac Combat System Trainer
- communications Terminals
