**Responsibilities**:

- Perform various tasks related to rail construction, maintenance, and shutdown activities.
- Follow project plans, procedures, and safety guidelines to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the rail construction team to carry out assigned tasks within specified timeframes.
- Adhere to rail industry regulations and requirements to ensure compliance and safe operations.
- Conduct inspections, repairs, and maintenance of rail infrastructure and associated equipment.
- Operate specialized equipment such as Elevated Work Platforms (EWP), perform Working at Heights (WAH), and utilize Track Maintenance Operatives (TMO) systems as required.
- Report any incidents, hazards, or defects promptly to supervisors or appropriate personnel.
- Ensure proper documentation of work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate effectively with team members and project stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and project success.

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a registered Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card with valid competencies.
- Current medical clearance to work in rail construction environments.
- Experience working on rail projects, including shutdowns, maintenance, or construction.
- Familiarity with rail industry regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Additional certifications such as Elevated Work Platform (EWP), Working at Heights (WAH), and Track Maintenance Operatives (TMO) will be viewed favorably.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour in outdoor environments.
- Ability to work weekends and adapt to changing schedules as required.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sydney, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
