Agricultural Consultant

We are Spraytec Australia Pty Ltd, an international fertiliser company with a long presence and many Clients in the agricultural market.

Originated in Argentina and Brazil, we are looking for an **Agricultural Consultant** for our branch in Perth, Western Australia.

We seek a suitably qualified person with a high level of professionalism and considerable experience in farm advice and research.
- be either an Australian citizen or an Australian permanent resident and satisfy all the criteria below, please read carefully this ad until the end;
- hold a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Agronomist/Agricultural Consultant/Agricultural Engineer.
- be able to show at least 8 years of experience in the agricultural sector;
- have excellent knowledge of crops, soils, fertilisers, and chemicals

**About the role**:

- This is a full-time position, 40 hrs per week, 5 days (Mon. to Fri) per week;
- occasional weekend work may and will happen, so availability to work on weekends and public holidays is also required;
- this position requires the employee to travel across Australia as needed;
- to work autonomously and ensure confidentiality.

**General criteria**:

- must currently reside in Perth or surroundings or must be available to relocate immediately;
- capable of working as part of a team and autonomously;
- owning a reliable vehicle will be an element of preference;
- must be able to provide a clean police record (Australian and overseas, if that's the case);
- note that smoking and the drinking of alcohol is not permitted anywhere anytime within company's or client's premises;
- must be able to communicate clearly, efficiently and effectively with other team members and the clientele in English;
- must be fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese;
**Main tasks of the position offered**:
**this position provides specialist technical advice**:

- to farmers and other agribusinesses for the identification, recommendation, and implementation of agricultural solutions to clients;
- on agricultural systems, crop and pasture science and crop protection;
- on techniques and products for improving crops yields;
- on production of farm produce;
- on issues such as crop disease, control of pests and weeds, soil improvement;
- on the most appropriate type of pesticides for specific regions, produce and type of soil, and with regards to the development of procedures and techniques to solve agricultural problems and to improve the efficiency of production;
Reporting: directly to the Executive Director;
