At Mount Druitt, Supported Employment Industrial Business Solutions site we are a welcoming and inclusive team. At this Site there are many different production items that are made including food and general packaging, household goods, and warehousing or general assembly.

**About the role**:
As a Production Team leader you will oversee and guide employees that we support with a disability, to meet their employment goals, ensuring their work aligns with their skills, aspirations, and NDIS plans while delivering exceptional production outcomes.

At our Industrial site located in Mount Druitt this role will be in the production of household general items area. You will use your background experience to operate machinery equipment and be hands-on within the factory with regards to using chemicals safely and check weight, inspect, and read complex recipes, to blend according to ratios. You will mentor a team of 10+ supported employees in these production areas and meeting outcome targets for output.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Ensure supported employees are given opportunities to enhance their skills, whilst meeting NDIS requirements and commercial outcomes for the site.
- Liaise with management to ensure outcomes and deadlines are met.
- Ensure production meets commercial customer expectations regarding quality, delivery time frames and business requirements.
- Engage in the manufacturing process ensuring appropriate set up, production and shut down of equipment.

**About you**:

- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is desirable.
- Ideally you will have experience working as a Mentor, OR Support Worker/disability services experience.
- You will be comfortable operating production machinery and equipment.
- Experience supervising a large production team.
- You are a true people person who is patient, empathetic and resilient.
- Coaching and mentoring skills to help guide employees through their daily tasks and empower them to live their best lives.
- Physically fit due to the demands of the role.
- Excellent communication skills to ensure clear and concise information is presented to the team.
- Driver's license, and Forklift ticket (Desirable, not essential).
- ** Blue card & NDIS Screening card** or willing to obtain, and Willing to obtain Fit2Work police check clearance is mandatory (at your own expense).
