Apprentice Mechanical Fitter

Located in Balcatta, our client Perrigo Australia, manufacturer a wide range of products including creams, ointments, gels, and fluids including flammable liquids.

The facility and associated processes are continuously upgraded and improved to ensure it is fit for purpose for the manufacturer of quality affordable self-care products.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties will include -**

This is a permanent fill-time role, working 7am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, together with paid time for attending required training blocks to become fully trade qualified. Overtime may be required from time to time.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for conducting scheduled planned preventative maintenance and attending to breakdown repairs of equipment and services.

This role as part of the Maintenance team, is key to ensuring equipment downtime is minimised and critical services remain operational. You will be required to liaise with internal customers across multiple departments, be able to work independently or as part of a team, to organise and prioritise assigned work orders and meet deadlines is an exciting and fast-paced team environment.

**Skills/Knowledge**
- Ideally possess a Certificate 2 in Engineering or relevant recent work experience
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of how to safely use tools
- Mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic aptitude
- Fault finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work at heights and confined spaces
- Effective computer skills, including Microsoft Office at intermediate level
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
