The Monash Health Pathology Service operates under the brand name of Monash Pathology and is an integral part of Monash Health. It is one of the largest providers of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 5 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional facilities being located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey and Wonthaggi Hospitals. There are currently 19 collection centres based within the hospital sites and community settings. Services are provided to the Public and Private sectors as well as other laboratory services.
About the Role
The Cytogenetics Laboratory processes a range of prenatal and postnatal specimens, using conventional and molecular diagnostic techniques. This includes DNA extraction, tissue culture, FISH, Microarray and Karyotyping.
We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician Grade 2 for a Full Time permanent position.

What You Need to Know
You should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as the ability to integrate into a small team environment.
The successful applicant for this position will have at least a Diploma in Science or Applied Science (MLS) or recognised equivalent.
