**About the opportunity**

We are currently looking for experienced Community Support Workers in the Illawarra region to join our growing team. We have a number of positions available, and are looking for casual team members.

The role of a Community Support Worker is to provide quality in home services and support to people over the age of 65, to help them strengthen their capacity to continue living in their own home and surrounds.

Duties of this role include:

- the provision of Client Directed Care,
- transportation services,
- respite care,
- domestic assistance,
- personal care
- Other social services.

Unlike other providers, allcare team members are not required to do large blocks of cleaning, as we provide separate professional cleaning services to our clients. Travel time between clients is paid as well as the reimbursement of kilometres travelled.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Current Australian Drivers Licence;
- Reliable registered vehicle with comprehensive vehicle insurance;
- Smart Mobile Phone with Internet access;
- Hold a current National Police History Check or be willing to undertake one;
- Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability or Home and Community Care (or the aspiration to get one);
- Previous experience in a similar role (desirable);
- a solid understanding of the needs of older people and their carers;
- the ability to work as part of a team to achieve goals.
