**About Essential Care**

Essential Care has been in operation for over 13 years and is an approved provider of My Aged Care home care packages, Veterans Home Care and a provider of NDIS support.

We are focused on providing assistance to people living in their own homes to remain independent through high-quality care which meets Aged Care and NDIS standards.

Our Clients are based between Thirroul and Nowra and consist of low and high care needs.

**The Position**

Due to an increase in Consumer demand, Essential Care is seeking a number of Care Workers to assist our Clients in the Illawarra area.

You will be required to drive and obey the road rules between Clients, documenting and providing feedback on Client's change in needs and service, and working within the Aged Care AND NDIS Code of Conduct.

Services provided by Care Workers include but are not limited to:

- Personal Care
- Respite
- Domestic Assistance
- Assisted Transport
- Social Support
- Meal Preparation
- Medication prompting
- Welfare checks

**Essential Criteria**

The Care Worker must have:

- A current First aid certificate
- A current Working with Children check
- An NDIS worker screening check
- A current Criminal History check
- A current Drivers licence
- Reliable and fully insured car

**Desirable**
- A minimum certificate 3 in aged care, disabilities or equivalent
- Manual handling experience with lifters
- Availability every second Weekend, early mornings and afternoons/evenings

**Training and Development**
- Orientation
- On the job training and buddy shifts
- Uniform and PPE supplied
- Ongoing support from the qualified office team
- Further training and development as required

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $31.46 - $38.53 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 38 per week

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Penalty rates

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Illawarra NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
