Pre-school Music Teacher

Mini Maestros is seeking a long-term teacher to run music education classes for babies & pre-schoolers in Thornbury and surrounding suburbs (Brunswick, Clifton Hill, Ivanhoe).

Mini Maestros teaching suits those who are looking for regular daytime work during school hours and a long-term, fulfilling and nourishing role. The work is ideally suited to: parents of school-aged children, instrumental teachers, performers who have evening/ weekend work, people who have always dreamed of being a Playschool presenter (), and those who are looking for regular work on set days to fit around other roles.

Comprehensive and supportive training is given to all our teachers.

Suitable applicants must:

- Have a car (it is not possible to do this job without a car)
- Live within a 30 minute peak-hour drive of Thornbury.
- Be able to commit to all regular days of teaching work on an ongoing basis during school terms
- Have a long-term view of working with Mini Maestros (this is not a short-term job)
- Have a good singing voice and be able to sing in tune
- Have solid musical skills
- Have a bright, outgoing personality and enjoy leading groups of people
- Be able to engage and teach young children
- Find pleasure in working with young children
- Be able to relate confidently to other adults
- Have well-developed communication and customer service skills
- Be willing to work within the guidelines of the Mini Maestros systems
- Play and own a guitar or ukulele (or be willing to learn - we can teach you)
- Be available for training sessions on 16th April, 17th April, 23rd May, 16th July, 17th July.

Mini Maestros teaching is not suitable for university students with teaching rounds or placements.
