Raleigh St Community Children's Centre is a vibrant and inclusive community-run service dedicated to providing high quality care and education for children. Our staff are a diverse group of passionate education professionals that work to ensure every child and every staff member feels valued and respected. We have been recently assessed as "Exceeding" in all 7 areas of the NQF (for the third time) and we are looking for educators that are committed to this high level of quality and will contribute proactively to our QIP. In 2025 Raleigh St is expanding and we are looking to fill multiple new part time roles. **Work Days of the Role**

Mon-Fri, starting mid January 2025

**Hours of Work of the Role**

25-30 hours per week, set shifts (shift length approx 5 - 6 hrs each day)

**Description**
- This is a great opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, delivering high-quality educational programs tailored to the strengths, abilities, and interests of each child. Our programs are grounded in the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework (VEYLF) and align with the Centre’s philosophy, which emphasizes community involvement and individual growth, embedded Aboriginal perspectives and appreciation and celebration of diversity in all forms. These part time roles are set shifts for 5 days a week, working either mornings or afternoons. You will work alongside the Kindergarten teacher in delivering the kindergarten program and on non-kinder days you will support the ECEC program delivery. **Key Responsibilities**:

- Support the Kinder teacher in implementing an engaging and developmentally appropriate educational program
- Provide strong and attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children
- Take meaningful and discerning observations to track and support children's development
- Collaborate with your team to create and implement strategies that meet the individual needs of children, ensuring consistency in approach
- Communicate effectively with your team and families, ensuring important information is shared and understood
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions with children, team members, and families, fostering a positive and respectful environment

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in early childhood education, particularly with kinder-aged groups
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Framework (NQF), and the planning cycle
- Active contributor to the QIP and maintaining the Centre's Exceeding rating
- A commitment to upholding the Centre’s values and philosophy
- Mature team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and oral), willing to contribute to conversations regarding best practice
- Ability to be flexible and problem solve with mínimal supervision when necessary
- Comfortable using digital platforms to record observations, room reports etc.**Qualifications**

Diploma of Early Childhood Education or Cert III in Early Childhood Education
