**About The Team**

Engineering and System Integrity (ESI) keeps Sydney moving by providing design and engineering services to Sydney Trains and the TfNSW cluster. ESI are also the technical leaders responsible for ensuring system safety and integrity. The team works collaboratively with stakeholders to provide technical expertise and assurance, acting as Sydney Trains’ interface with the Asset Management Branch of Transport for New South Wales and hold Sydney Trains’ Authorised Engineering Organisation (AEO) accreditation.

**The opportunity**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Delivery Manager to be part of Engineering System Integrity team within Sydney Trains. This is a critical interface role responsible for project managing the end-to-end project design life cycle. The position must ensure that single or multi-discipline engineering projects are delivered in accordance with specification including time, cost and quality.

This position is a central point of contact in Engineering System Integrity, coordinating and interfacing with all internal and external stakeholders.

The role will be based in our Clyde Hub and is a permanent full time opportunity with flexible working arrangements available.

**What you will be involved in**:
Reporting to the Senior Design Delivery Manager, your key responsibilities are but not limited to:

- Project cost control including preparing estimates, ensuring adequate funding available before commencing any activity or awarding contracts, tracking budget vs actual expenditure, financial forecasting and required reporting.
- As necessary, ensure effective contract management including developing Request for Proposal, managing tendering process, stakeholder management, contract administration, and,contractor performance management.
- Identify and manage timely provision of design inputs

**About you**

You will hold tertiary qualifications (degree) in engineering, project management or relevant discipline.

Demonstrated experience in the rail environment will be highly desirable with exposure to managing multi-disciplinary engineering projects.

You will be result-oriented with a good understanding, knowledge and success in the areas of stakeholder, client and supplier relationship management coupled with demonstrated experience in contract management and contract administration.

High level of PC literacy, including MS Office suite and Primavera / MS Project.

**Salary and benefits**

The salary for this position is RC6 ($127,559 - $141,442) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
